Edited to add trundle info.This bed is adorable! I was on the fence about this bed given some of the reviews, but I am pleasantly surprised. It was from Santa, and arrived days before I thought it would! All the parts were there and the building of it was not hard. I'm a 40- something mom and did it almost all by myself, just needing help with holding some of it and placing the "roof" on the main frame. You'll need a second person for help with that part. The slats for the platform went on easily -- the best advice would be to follow instructions and don't use a drill. If you screw things in too hard, it can crack the wood. It's not solid wood, but it didn't smell weird or anything. It took me 4 hours with a few breaks in between to build it. My daughter LOVES it and it's so so cute! We haven't built the trundle part yet -- I'll update the review when I do. It doesn't look hard...we just don't need it yet. I would highly recommend this bed and this company. So pleasantly surprised!I built the trundle by myself -- very easy. Use the reinforcement like in the directions. It's pretty easy to slide on the carpet. It takes 2 hands to put it back under straight, but with a 9 inch foam mattress and sheet it still fits.Still loving it 2 months in! ❤️
